Career

In the first phase of my career I worked for Dolby Laboratories in the UK for almost 25 years (1984-2009)

as part of the teams in the UK and USA that manufactured and tested their professional products

Finally before my retirement from full-time employment I worked in the UK for Renishaw plc

for just over 10 years (2012-2023) in a similar role

Consultancy

I have a self-employed contracting consultancy, Enjaybee Associates
Since 2009 I have been contracted to the IABM as a member of their Standards Monitoring Group
From 2009-2012 I worked for Siemens Rail under contract on overseas manufacturing projects in India and China
In the past I also worked with Phoenix Technical Group LLC on a number of projects for USA based clients

Other Professional Activities

I am a Chartered Engineer and Member of the IET
Currently a member of the Technical Committee of the SMTA Europe Chapter
I am a registered STEM Ambassador
Previously:
- An Affiliate Member of the IEMA
- A Director and Vice-Chair of the Technical Committee of the SMART Group
- Chair of the UK government-industry liaison body, the Electro-Technical Regulatory Group
